Chet Atkins not so sure, i do know he's one bad ass finger picker. Beck would be considered metal in his cacophony days. Buddy Guy, rock. Hendrix rock/blues. BB king delta blues. Page hair metal/80s rock. Vai hair metal/rock/weird stuff. Muddy waters delta blues.

Buddy Guy - ROCK?
Page - HAIR METAL/ 80's rock?

I know I know... you've realised and apologised for the mistakes but I just have to....

WHAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT????????????

more jazz legends..george benson, john scofield, charlie hunter. also, CHARLIE CHRISTIAN. without him there wouldn't be guitar leads or solos in popular jazz.

Hmm.

For the record, back in the 70's Led Zep were considered progressive rock (think about it.. they're song structures were and are still pretty revolutionary). However, many people think that they are a rock and roll band due to the fact that they have a song called 'rock and roll'.

I would personally deem Led Zep to be a blues-based, progressive classic rock band even though they are no longer together to progress anywhere.

They're pretty hard to pin down.. what with all their acoustic-folkey songs, occassional funk excursions and a penchant for theatrical rock 'events' such as Kashmir, Stairway to Heaven and When The Levee Breaks.

And as for Jazz guitarist.. Django Reinhardt.

If Buddy Guy is dead Zakk Wylde is gay.
Good one.. Let him play the violin rather then the Gibson..
Well, Jimi Hendrix is Psychedelic Rock.. Why isn't Stevie Ray Vaughan on the list?
