Well, i just wanna true and honest answer coz there's a tribute band of plus 44 wanna make a gig but afraid ppl dun listen/like Plus 44 songs.
I can tell that they rock man!! I mean its pop right, but its still music. What do ppl listen nowadays?? Rock? Metal? Hardcore?? i think we all need to be 'all rounder'. Well, we still know that Travis Barker is the best drummer and still holding strong. Haha. He totally rocks man!! Who the hell can play with one arm????? ONLY LEFT ARM????? He is sick man!

Pop bands? OMG... then I have to say with you..
Yeah this Pop Band Plus 44 sucks... hahaha...
This is kinda stupid, I feel. We are all musicians here and we all have our own preference, but to judge a band/music by the genre (even before listening to it) is rather stupid and superficial.
On another note,
Blink 182 broke up because it seems like Tom was trying to enforce his musical opinions (and which direction the band should go) over Travis and Mark. You can actually hear the difference between their older albums and the newer ones. Its sad, mainly because they were my heroes, and because the world is already a sad place as it is and to see a group of friends breaking up, just makes the world a little colder. I like Boxcar Racer amongst other Blink182's side bands, having said that, I think AVA is a very innovative band, while +44 is a much more serious/matured Blink182.
And to the thread starter, If they feel passionately about being a +44 coverband, I say go for it. Their passion will manifest itself in the songs that they will play, and once that happens I think the audience will appreciate it.

no that doesnt necessarily have to go that way. if 2 of them played in plus 44 and i dont like what they are playing i can still say they suck.
that does not mean i think blink 182 sucks because i like the music they played. i'm was a blink 182 fan but not a plus 44 and ava fan. whats wrong with that?
