What about Line 6 Spider IV 30 Amp?

Hi people,
Ok, I just want to ask if this amp is good and worth the amount being paid for it.
I know many people in this forum will start blabbering to me about "It's all about how you feel, you have to listen to it and see if you like it.. blah blah.." But this time, I want to hear everyone's personal opinion about this guitar amplifier and any comments about it. From what I've seen, it looks quite value-for-money, considering that it has a foot switch included, many channels available, and built in effects. I think city music sells it for 256$ right??
I've once considered getting a marshall avt 20 or 50 but both are so freaking expensive. Hence I have decided to look for other alternatives. Is the tone of a Line 6 Spider IV amp comparable to a Marshall avt??
Once again, your opinion!! Thanks for sharing everyone
:)

Tried the line 6 spider iv,vox valvetronic @ city music

only like the line 6 iv clean sound ... other than that all the effects kinda sub par..

Is it really that bad?? Lol. Roland looks kinda good actually, I'm considering it.

For a 30w amp, i reckon your'e looking at home practice purpose only and it sounds decent enough for this purpose. Its a very convenient amp for practice and u won't need to hook up your pedalboard for any level of distorion or basic effects.

If your'e looking for great tone, you might want to try the ac4tv combo or maybe even the epi valve junior. However for practice purposes i never liked using small tube amps cos

1) Limited features/ limited gain on tap
2) Requires you to warm up the amp (counter productive for short practice times eg. 15-20 mins)
3) Need to hook up your effects
4) Need to replace those tubes eventually
