will TITAN URANUS be playing harmonica?

Unfortunately Titan will be away for colon surgery for now after sessions with bassist Isacck Dict.... we are trying to get Suchem Harrd as a replacement

Hey hey hey ppl - SOT will be doing the Clapton tribute gig at TERRY'S TAVERN ON 9 NOV with Stratus, Clem & the Claptonmaniacs, Mark Magendran & others...

check it out...

crap band with horrible sound.

should be required viewing for anyone starting up a cover band. see how NOT to play your favorite cover songs.

amateurish drummer. bassist has horrible tone. note to guitarist: tube amps don't enjoy being fed multi fx pedals.

thanks to this thread, a completely overhyped band.

c'mon people, call it like it is... don't promote mediocrity!

If you can do better - come down, jam with us, bring your own band or whatever else you see fit and show us how to do it properly (if you can that is) ...if not, stay pc-ridden, we earning the $$$ there, friend...

'bassist has horrible tone'

'a completely overhyped band'

thank you for the 2 quotes with regards to SOT / col angus & Big brown Beaver Band.

yes i do agree that my tone is horrendous rest assured i will work on it -thank you.

also we are however NOT in any way completely overhyped as you say.

thank you for making your way down to terry's to actually buy a drink and listen to us.

stewartbass - grinder slammed the Malmsteen gig as well (sound, venue, beer & price) - Do U think he actually came down to Tavern last ngt?

Schoolyard challenge? Typical...

I went down to see the band based on comments in this thread. I ordered my drink, sat there for one set (which I'll admit was an ordeal) and left completely unimpressed.

I am entitled to my opinion, and I am entitled to share it on this forum.

Schoolboys challenges are for schoolboys, we're all adults here and we dont play that game.

There's a saying: You can't please EVERYONE .... what would have been an ordeal for you was entertainment for probably 99% of the rest...

Like I said, if you are confident you can produce a BETTER overall performance, sound, tone, interpretation etc ...come on down and jam with us or bring your own band and show us your abilities.

If you can really please each & every single one in the house - hey, then I take my hats off to you man and kudos all the way....hell...we'd even offer YOU to take over the gig hahaha...

Of course you are entitled to your own opinion, as is everyone else ....

SOT gets engaged for our services based on the opinions of the all the various clubs' managament and audiences... some like us & book us, some dont but I guess since we do play a fair bit here & there we must be doing SOMETHING right???

Come down and teach us. we wanna learn from you, man...

You seem to think i am a musician.

"if you are confident you can produce a BETTER overall performance, sound, tone, interpretation"

"we'd even offer YOU to take over the gig"

"bring your own band and show us your abilities"

"Come down and teach us. we wanna learn from you, man..."

I am not a musician. I am a member of the audience. I am not qualified to teach you, but I AM qualified to make a critical comparison of your band to many other bands i have seen.

If you wanna learn from someone, learn from these guys who are tighter, kick more ass, and who do better justice to cover songs than you do:

Tania
Ministry of Rock
The Lovehunters
The Unxpected

You needn't defend your band. It doesn't make sense to point out that you play a fair bit here & there ie. you must be doing something right.

That doesn't give your band credibility. The impartial audience will tell you whether THEY THINK your band is credible.

Alamat, in the first place this was a tribute to Eric slowhand clapton rite? The only hype i find was everyone's eagerness to jam n have a good time with clapton's songs.

Where got pple in the 1st place say they gg to have heaven tone? Where got pple say they gg there to perform to impress others???

Its a jam, a fun time playing tribute to eric clapton. So chill manz.

Even if you super good, maybe u shld share how they can improve n work on wats missing, rather than slamming them.

Those other bands u quoted also didnt arrive overnite rite??? Im sure they also had days of crap before.

I wanted to go, but had to work till 11pm manz.
