the almost breakup of SOT as lamented by FGL never happened!
i know because i play bass for SOT.
it all started when we - zain, mal & me had our butts shoved with the sax player - he was literally like a butt plug foce inserted when we were not looking....somehow he became a member....
the sax player or noodler whom i now will now refer to as the 'yoko ono' of SOT has finally got the boot and has decided to pedal his off-beat/avant garde style of sax blowing with his now reformed band 'the equires'.
FGL is a member/musical director. be sure to check them out soon at crossroads. for those of you who just cant seem to get enough of FGL do keep your mondays free as he performs with 'the mavericks'.

Yep - and I dont like to air the dirty laudry in public BUT the club wanted a saxaphonist and on account of ppl vetoing the "particular" blower involved - we may have just lost the gig for good!
Name calling & all - just plain childish.....I wonder why ppl cannot simply just GET along and be versatile enough to adapt to each other musically & character wise - who knows, one find day someone of even higher standard may come along and say "you're not good enough - you're out or we dont wanna play with you" ..... you're out...."
And yes those who really cannot get enuff of me - like bro stewartbass heere - please do come down & shit stomp on Mons...

My initial impression of Crossroads is that it won't be there for long anyway.
An awful lot of money in the hole but that venue has been a number of bars including the last venture by Kumar which lasted for all of 6 months. Other bars in the back tower also struggle.How much money did Zombie bleed before it was finally put out of it's misery? Harrys was on a similar course until they bit the bullet and hired Tania...why dont these people see that objectively before they pour all that money in ?!
I would say to FGL/SOT etc to bleed as much $$ out of the place while you can because in 3-6 months they are going to have trouble paying the bills....

the problem is that amidst all the boohoo crap laments - FGL indeed wanted to disband SOT because the rest of SOT disliked YOKO ONO blower man! dey!!!
we have the 'steely dan' - a 15" metallic dildo
