The post that started the thread is only true to a certain extent, in that quite a lot of girl bands nowadays are very formulatic, but then again, so are most of the other "rock" bands out there, guys included.

I honestly believe that there are good female bands out there, and while some may not excel in technical prowess (ie. the great kat), they make up for in arrangement, which is a talent that not many people have.

There are always the black sheep out there that spoil it for everyone else. Don't condemn to whole lot just because of one fool.

What I meant was, that some female musicians may not be as technically gifted as her, but they make up for it with other talents, like arrangement.
