hey.. guys i just got a weird q here... u c kirk frm metallica always wear a white band thing arnd his playing hand.. i was just wondering can anybody tell me wad is it ?

the upper half of his hand(the 4 fingers) is cybernetic and that tape binds the cybernetic part with the human part so that it doesnt drop off when he plays and stuff



















basically the tape protects his hands when he does palm muting. The floyd kinda tears up his palm and he'll end up bleeding and stuff, so yeh there you have it.

So it's a tape or what? I thought it's some sort of bands(those that you used for sports) but anyway, it's cool to tape 'coz he usually plays with his black esp or black les paul, and i think the contrast is awesome!

I used to use tape for straplocks. Works well, a bit sticky when you remove them but nothing some zippo fluid can't remove.
