vPOST shipping time

Hey all

Just bought my first ever elec via internet, from American Musical Supply

It's a Fender Strat haha. Yeah we all know how awesome it is, yada yada but thats not what im posting for haha.

Anyway, im using vPOSTUSA as a freight forwarder to ship my guitar from Oregon to Singapore (yes its already at the Oregon site for the vPOSTUSA address they give you).

Anyone knows roughly how long it takes for vPOST to ship my guitar over from Oregon to Singapore?
I'm already one of the lucky survivors who made it past the "Process Package" stage.

Already paid for the shipment ($230 )

I did my homework on internet and found that most people get their stuff between 4 days ~ 3 months(lost item)

Anyone wanna share their experience with vPOST and how long the shipment takes?

You must be at the "awaiting delivery" stage. I waited more than 3 weeks at the "awaiting delivery" stage.. emailed and called to asked them why so long, customer service wasnt helpful at all..

Hope the strat reaches your home in one piece, if it reaches. Haha. Good luck.

I usually dont post but I thought I might as well since I'm logged in. I'm not a guitarist but drummer and have bought several items and used VPost quite a fair bit already.

All came in one piece as promised - waited up to 5 days/a week depending on which day of the week it reaches the Oregon/California outlet.

Wah. Order drumset overseas and ship by vPOST... not very safe haha.

Anyway, wow 5 days thats fast. By the way, what do you mean by "depending on which day"?

@hifikiller: Not bad. Do they actually look at their fan page much? i dont think i need to flame much, its probably already full with complaints. Still, its good to contribute

For me, it reached the outlet on a saturday and i made payment on that same day too (at around 11pm SG time).
To be exact, it was just 2 days ago

Never said I shipped drumset in with Vpost. Depending on which day your item arrives, the processing time is very different. I noticed if you get your item arriving towards the end of the week, you could end up waiting longer than compared to a Monday/Tuesday. They don't process over the weekends if you don't know.

moral of the story: buy insurance, be patient and don't get your hopes up.

I will nv use vPost. I only use UPS, DHL, FedEx or other professional courier.

A month, don't get your hopes too high, for when it comes earlier, you'll be pleasantly surprised...

Ahh haha no, its way cheaper there. Singapore guitars are overpriced -.-

@B33r: I bought insurance. Not taking any chances with vPOST.

@drum: Well yea i know that they dont process on weekends, 2 days or so not big difference to me.
I'm more worried when do they actually put my order in the ship and set sail.

If its in SG i can still break into the vPOST centre or whatever, if its in Oregon cant do anything right xD


Arhh crap. i wanted to play with my new strat all June. Dammit.
Is UPS expensive?
They offer good tracking, thats all i know

I always insist on USPS Priority Intl OR USPS Express Mail International. Super fast, tracking, affordable.

Haha awesome. my UPS land shipping was paid by American Musical Supply, where i bought my guitar from.
It was the only american online shop i found so far that got quality (from reviews) and had the Fender Standard HSS strat, artic white with rosewood fretboard.
