Hey guys, i m getting a wah pedal, probably a Vox V847 reissue, though i dunno how it sounds, i m still curious and wanna get it via order.

Are these the same? V847 reissue and V847-A-Wah wah?

Question is how is the V847 reissue faring? any pros and cons? Is it using a infamous italian fasel inductor? Thanx in advance.

Hmm.

Perhaps you could give it a whiddle at City Music? Only you can decide if you like the sound. Words can only say so much after all

Thanx for the advice dude, that was the best way, but the best way was not available to me... coz..... I m living in malaysia~!!! 8O 8O 8O

the music shops here are all cry babies... so... wat to do? no choice lo... just ship in only...

Btw, how much is Vox v847 is it in Singapore? and do u mind telling me the price of Crybaby and 535Q as well? thanx..

Hmm.

I'm not sure how much the v847 costs, and unfortunately the city music webby does not state the price. However the price of Crybabies here is between $200 to $400 depending on the model (check out the soft online store for details).

Might I ask... does the Crybaby sound not make it for you?

nah, its not that i cant settled for a cry baby, but these pedals cost alot here. So i happens to browse through evil bay and see this as an alternatives, by getting second hand.. or try my luck with ishibashi and all..

I would like to know if there is a major difference between the GCB-95 and 95F?

I think the 95 is moddable to 95F, by adding the Fasel and the 100k potz... But is it worth it? or shud i just buy it off the shelf?

The GCB95 is the modern buffered version of the old time classic Crybaby. Like the original it's not True Bypassed and is using a variation of the Red Fasel inductor.

The GCB95F is marketed by JD as the Classic Crybaby but it's really modern version of the GCB95. It includes True Bypass switching,SMT mounted components and is fitted with a Red Fasel Inductor.

Hope ths helps. :)

Thanx embryo.... i found a few sites which does mod on the wah... i m trying to get a cheap wah, I ll get in from any shops or online orders which give me the cheapest wah.

Cheers mate. So if you've the resources you may choose to explore the wide world of bouteeks or take the other path and go the GCB95 way and explore ways to customize it specifically for yourself with mods. It usually begins with the True Bypass switching followed by the Fasel Inductor and then the "Q" facor which affects the voice shaping and then the amount of boost. To each his own as there are many variables as to how each player will come in with different outputs of single coil or humbuckers with drive or fuzz pedals set with different amounts of gain and of course the amp itself. Hence the wide array of wah pedals out there to choose from.
