Hi all,

Wonder which will you get. Do consider value vs ability. I have a fender strat and am using a old peavey transtube blazer 158 (ibot it almost 10 years ago as a practise amp).

Lookin to invest up to 1k but i dunno whther its worth the money. I like clean sounding amp. Warm as well...

Trying to rekindle playin the electric after 2-3yrs of non playing, (I've 6-7 boss pedals)

More of a acoustic guy.

suggestion appreciated, tks

Tks, i thot they dun ship outside of us except for a few countries? Anyone has experience?

feedback appreciated,

tks

May I know why is this amp made in for my info. Any difference betw the one at swee lee and from the online retailer. Price difference of at least 20pct. am seriously considering ordering online together with a Vox Wah pedal.

tks again

cheers

i have tried both. the fender is quite impressive imo, and the vox doesnt shine fully as a tube amp (cause it isnt fully a tube amp). but it sure has more on board effects and its an amp modeller. seeing you have 6-7 boss pedals, get the fender!

+1
yeah.... i ve got the AD30vt... imho the amp isnt worth its value.. couldve done if not better at least as good with an amp modeller and a solid state...

A full tube was still deffinitely outdo that amp... the preamp tube couldnt really enhance the tone significantly...

fender has nicer tone and has a tube but valvetronix lasts longer and sounds like a tube with above average tone.

Guitar Workshop at Bras Pasah is selling this secondhand Peavey Classic 50 for $950.

It's a full tube, tweed covered 4 by 10 combo. You might want to go try it out.

if ure not a tone whore den go for the vox. its pretty convicing and id rate it the highest non full tube amp ive tried so far. all the rest all pale in comparison. and plus its easier on the pocket than the blues junior which has a fab clean tone but nothing much else.

I concur with penta-tonic...

I got the ad50vt and I must say that amongst all the modeling amps, the vox is the most convincing. The Line6s, Roland etc...all pales in comparison.
The pre amp tube in the vox makes all the difference.

However, when compared to a full tube amp... definitely the vox wont match up fully. But if u want versatility, go for the vox.... especially if you are using the amp for home purposes.

With a budget of max $1k, I'd say go for the Blues Junior. The Pro Junior has the the same 15W as the Blues but goes through a 10" speaker and has only 1 knob for tone control and 1 volume knob. The Blues Junior uses a 12" speaker and has your usual 3 tone konbs and preamp + master volume controls, and footswitchable mid boost.

Incidentally, $1k might be enough to get you a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. 40W 1x12", but more importantly, uses 6L6 tubes instead of the Juniors' EL84. The 6L6 would give you nice clean headroom for your pedals. The 15W EL84 breaks up earlier than 6L6's and has gets very wooly/middy when overdriven, unless you like that kind of overdrive or if you're not gonna be cranking the low wattage amp up. Best to check on the price for the Hot Rod.

Chances are that u will not have to make use of the 40W cause its freaking loud. I only use my DDRI at volume 5.In fact the best amp that i can think of for the singaporean HDB context is a Fender Champ which is unfortunately not bein produced.I say so because of its low wattage.

Think about it

Plexi 100W=Stadium(your windows will shatter)
DDRI 20W=Club work
Champ=less than 8W HDB or apartment.

tks all, i am swaying towards the blues driver. Anyone knows wat is the best price and where can i get. Can pm me plse.

tks

How much is the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Where can i get brand new Vox Wah pedal? i am still weighin the costs. Dunno whether i shd spend so much. Using a Am std strat and the song thru a tube amp is very nice
