Hi guys,

I saw a thread on this ages ago, but can't find it anymore.

I'm looking for a good place for professional vocal training, so wondering if you have any recommendations? Mainly want to refine technique and find out how much I can do with my vocals.

Would greatly appreciate any help, thanks! :)

Hiya,

I'm looking to train in terms of general technique, improve control etc. I sing mainly english songs, and basically just want to see what I'm doing right or wrong and also how far i can push my vocals.

From my personal experiences, I would recommend SLS. You can go to Speech Level Singing International to find a teacher. The lessons are costly but they do work. It will increase your range for sure and is probably the best technique for commercial singing. You can PM me if you want more details.

Cheers! :)

Make friends with someone who is already spending the $$, and ask them for the exercises :) It will not be as effective though, since the exercises are not customized for you.

Hi, i wondered if i could offer any free lessons here, so as to gain experience and exposure. I'll try to teach all genres, but im interested to teach the right singing basics, as well as correcting your mistakes.

I am not a professional and my genres i do are mostly classical and pop music, so pardon me if i m not doign the same as yours. I have only taught friends of mine who want to learn singing, and have never extend this to anyone yet.

Why free ? becos im not a professional and im just starting out, gaining experience only. Singing is part of my interest and a teaching singing is a dream that i pursue, and I think its great if i can teach someone a skill or knowledge that I have hold a grasp on.

I can't guarantee success, but it is better trial and error by yourself !

But if are already a very good singer i guess my skills might not match your ability, then i must go back and learn n few more years...

Due to overwhelming response... im finding a proper place to teach, instead of my house. Meanwhile do keep ur options open...

If u noe of a place and piano room that I can "rent" other than esplanade, do let me know. Thanks

vocal lessons

Hi there, i don't have any music background but i'm really interested in vocal training. Do you peeps out there know of any vocal trainer who coaches beginners? Not too expensive please, i'm still a student (: Individual or group is fine, although i think i'd prefer individual. Oh, and preferably in the east or town area (:

Thanks!:)
