How do you guys normally spend your valentines? I'm just curious if Esplanade got any performances... So maybe after dinner or something can bring your date to listen some nice performances.

Do you guys have any good suggestions or ideas on how to spend this day with your dates?

for me, this year i plan to give my date a surprise with candlelight dinner at home.

personally i think Esplanade would be a really nice and place for a romantic dinner (though price is usually nicer haha) but dun think the outdoor performances would add any point to the romance factor (if there is any), due to weather.

yeah... weather this year is damn unpredictable man... its damn sad if you and your date are out and suddenly it pours... unless your date is a huge fan of tawain dramas or indian movies... i do not predict she would like getting soaked...

newbie probably you could consider taking a stroll along the river past fullerton all the way to boat/clark quay for a drink if it doesn't rain. ur date can show off your generousity in the bouquet of roses she'd be holdidng also  else, settling at esplanade's harry's as plan b would be a good choice too, i think.

as for me, i need to figure out where to go about hiding those candles and presents these few days b4 the 14th. will be aiming to score good points for good love-making session after that ... ooh la la

Get ready for some hyper inflation in the prices of roses and other kinds of mushy mushy things related to Valentine's Day.... :(

esplanade will be friggin packedcore la..
every loverboy is gonna think of bringing his lovergirl to esplanade cos they all have the impression of this romantic, quiet, one on one time with each other at esplanade..
but when you get there... WOAH!!
LIKE BAYBEATS..

go book hotel la..
geylang area 48bucks a night..
seriously quite small but got bed can liao :D

i kinda had that idea too, about the esplanade. but i do agree that its gonna be really packed.. specially the roof terrace!! arghhh filled with couples makin out.. not good for single guys like me who wants to go there to enjoy serenity. but another idea for me is the airport :) the viewing mall is a wonderful place. ultra quiet and romantic in my opinion.

Why not East Coast Park?

It's gonna be packed for sure but the place stretches from the entire eastern coast of Singapore....

not a bad choice if u r among a grp of guys trying to spy on some outdoor "monkeys businesses"

haha...i think i would just buy a rose for myself...sit at home and stare at my computer screen...and just hug my bolster...wahahaha ok i am lame... :P

vday is the most expensive day ever!!! and i'm a girl...but i still am buying for all my goons..arrrghhh!!!

but i can tell you where to go for a nice quiet evening...go to chip bee gardens...but you gotta make reservations..abit pricey too..

or just haf a picnic in some park..

or go to substation and watch the short films..the short film festival is on!
