Valbee,Spider 15, vox da5, marshall ms4

i am looking for a small portable amp that i am thinking of putting at my office that i can play during non office hr shifts etc... anyone have opinion on my possible choices? Ibanez Valbee, Spider 15,Marshall ms4, Vox da5 or any other amp that i might miss out??? anyone have any opinion...

Hmmm........another amp to be considered wld be the Sound Drive MG15. Its very good for the price and the volume can be tweaked from blastingly loud to whisper soft. www.standardvalue.com.sg.

For your application, Roland Microcube is da bomb man.. 8)
sounds freakin incredible for such a tiny thing.
runs on AA batteries.. woohoo.

Basket.. while i was trying it out at Sweelee Bras Basah, with the volume at 5, the ah bang asked me to turn it down!!! too loud (?!)


The Vox DA5 looks much cooler, but runs on C size batteries. Won't matter if you are using AC though. Haven't tried it though. Can someone do a shootout? :roll:

DA5 is an excellent small amp, real killer tones in a tiny package. More user-friendly than the Microcube too, so i've heard.

he he i dunno if that happened to me... i'm with the DA5. the sale price makes it just super worth it. nevermind the $$$ it's about tone with this one.

Hey, the Valbee's pretty cool too! It can produce pretty sweet tone when cranked! Versitile too with its active EQ.
If you can afford to crank it up, it's a good pick!

Okay lah, I'm recommending it also because I just got mine today! :smt016
Honestly, it doesn't go insainly loud when fully cranked, still bearable.
Hence it serves its purpose well as a "bedroom" tube amp
And although it's labled as a "high gain" amp, it really is suitable for anything!
If you're willing to sacrifice digital effects n stuff for good tone, go for it!

P.S. There's only 1 left at BB Sweelee! :smt002
