Unsure of what electric guitar to get

Hi,

I am looking for electric guitars, because at the moment all I've got are acoustics... my main one right now is my epiphone dove...

I listen to KT Tunstall, Feist and lots of folk-rock...

My budget is less than 1k, and I was wondering what guitar you all would suggest I get.

squier telecaster. best! 400-500. almost as good as fender tele. but if u dun eat and save money, go for fender american standard. trust me, telecasters are awesome for ur type

i'd say a tele or a strat.
or you could even go for an ibanez s series cos they're pretty versatile

an epiphone dot. a 335. i would think you would like most arch-top style guitars.

A fender stratocaster. the neck feels good.well at least to me.hahahahahahahahaha

Haha, those are the ones that I've sorta thought about! I love the look of the dot/335... also looking at an mabye epiphone casino? (does anyone have an opinion on the dot or casino?) Anyways i think I'm beginning to lean towards arch-tops, both KT and Feist play them. Are the gretsch electromatics any good? But the epi dot is definitely one I'm considering.
