tuning bass to drop C

GET a set of heavier gauge strings...
what i usually do for guitar is 1 gauge higher for drop D or E Standard (.10)
then 1 step higher for Drop C. (.11) but usually i'll just play with (.10) on Drop C

the slacker the strings the tension needs to keep up.
