very informative thread! so mrbukka how did the new tubes perform? im thinking of swapping out the tubes in my blackheart as well and gathering info to make a decision. probably would be going for a EH 12ax7 with a JJ EL84

because im not sure if martin matches their tubes.
while im pretty convinced that doug tubes does.
plus their prices varies, no consistency. this is one area in my quest for getting a good sound as a guitarist that i do not want to bargain with.

and i emailed doug prior to orderin and they were pretty helpful i might say.
