Tube Screamer

Hey guys I want to buy an overdrive pedal that gives off that bright, screeching, screaming sound. If you've ever listened to Guilty Gear sound tracks lead guitar you'll know what I mean. So is the tube screamer that good? I heard it's quite popular. And does the name tube screamer mean it's meant for tube amp? (because I think mine is a solid state) Can anyone review it for me? I remember someone on soft named tubescreamer lol. And where can I buy it and for how much also. Thx a lot in advance

the TS-7 is one of the mildest overdrive pedal there is, you're using the wrong tool for your intention. the 'scream' in Tubescreamer doesn't equal 'very intense'.

The tube screamer is a mild to heavy overdrive
with an emphasis on the mid frequencies.
Doesn't have tubes, and doesn't scream.

Overdrive pedals that have a bright and screeching sound
might be a little hard to come by. I think you can try BD2
and the SD-1.
