True Bands, True Jamming?!

I missed seeing bands like Shakatak, Casiopea, etc playing nowadays. Their music shows that every member is an important and equal element of the band, and they play their respective instruments in unison without outshining other members'. I suppose that's the spirit of a true band and true jamming!

Anyone has any of their favourite(s) to share?

Here are some of mine:

Thanks for sharing that! Brings back memories! I used to perform Nightbirds by Shakatak with a band - quite often actually. It became one of the favorite pieces. Wow...down memory lane!

Despite what many say about my increasing white hair, I still consider myself relatively young! Even though I used to play Nightbirds!! Haha! And I played it during the days when keyboard splitting is still quite fresh. People were asking, "How did you make 2 sounds coming from one keyboard?" (one patch for the sqaure wave patch and one for the piano patch of nightbirds). Today splitting is like nothing.

Now I'm feeling old....

The Casiopea clip is just...fun! Hey, maybe we should form a group that plays these music again. Re-live the fun days again!

I'm Young!!!! =P

and me and my guitarist 'looks' old to our friends cuz we only listen to what they say oldies ... jazz, fusion stuff .... and we dun listen to pop at all -_-" ....

anyway .... my band sketch is an instrumental band!!! hehehehe ...

piano_ex,
think your band would be standing out in the Yamaha Asian Beat since you're the only instrumental band. Hahaha.....all the best in the up coming semi-finals!

Post the video clip for us who can't attend! =)
