This user registered today and have posted some nasty stuff on the forum.
previously, i had someone suggested that i should not delete or censor post.
as SOFT grow, i face with these problem daily and we should work together as a community to come up with a solution.
1. talk sense with him and hope he will understand
2. let him be and censor when post turn nasty
3. ban him straight away
what should we do?

2 classification of such users.
A. A new user who signs up, happen to see something he doesn't like and speaks without going through the brain first.
B. An ex-user or banned user who signs up with a new nickname with a specific intent to flame.
My guess is the second... I do not know about the rest. I haven't read the rest of the posts from him though. But to PM someone and challenge 1 to 1, only kids are capable of that.
And going by the second, if it was me, I would choose to ban, regardless whether he likes it or not. He is welcomed to join whichever forum he wishes, but ONLY when he learns to speak honourably.

I strongly think that new users should be on some kind of probation. At the least, have:
1) the decency to introduce oneself before going on a "What's the best [XXX]?" query, and then disappearing without even saying thanks. Get them to do a Self-Intro first or something.
2) the rationality to know that this is a forum. Getting personal is really irrelevant and pointless. Be subjective, not objective.
3) the sanity not to expect a reply within 2 hours of posting a thread. i'm not sure if the rest feel the same as me, but i'm sick and tired of reading the Guitar forums in particular because new users come at you and DEMAND for answers.

Bring Mr. SOFFT..the all knowing also. we shall have a good chata nd if thinks don't seem to go the way you want then we get physical Mr. gsonique. You guys allow people like gsonique to post rude and crude remarks and then frame others of ill-doing...what a joke.
Same goes for posting rude and crude remarks in private messages, although not framing but using another identity for this action seems childish too.
Best way to settle this with your way and have a nice ending? James can take down your ip add, then we meet outside and if you get physical....we all know what to do :wink: Then again, using another online nick and perform a personal attack on someone....i doubt you will even commit to the meetup or to get physical.

The funny part of it... that's how desperate some people wanna meet the bands. There's a simpler way actually... pay for tix... holaaaa, you get your wish. :lol: Or is $10 too much?
