That's because the legions of Gibson aficionados got too serious and defensive over that comment made by an Agile owner...and things escalated into some stupid heated exchange. Agile owners called Gibson owners gear snobs, while Gibson owners told Agile owners they lacked real perspective. Anyway, I wouldn't take those people at TGP too seriously. been doing it to my LP...
no snapping so far (partly bec i'm using .0095s in there...). when one opts for this stringing practice, be informed that it causes a wedge effect at the ball end of the strings hence promoting more stress. some attachment/ winding at the ball end are not as fortified across brand names...
