Its not surprising to see The Beatles in some of our list here. They started a revolution. When The Beatles came to USA in the early 60s, the USA were kinda shocked by their hairstyle, which was considered long at that time..so now u see how males having long hair today is considered normal hahaha :) The Beatles came at the right time when the country was mourning over JFK's death. So with the Beatles success in USA, it opened up a trend to other British bands to make their mark in the USA, known as the British Invasion.

So if it wasn't for the Beatles, other British bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath etc would probably never had the chance to take music to a whole new level in the rock/metal genre.

faizal: i wouldnt classify the beatles as classic rock imo. but since so many ppl have placed them on their list. i feel bad for leaving them out. they'd go at #2 for me. :p

really. so good... so good..

the beatles...

strange that no one listed rolling stones......

I don't mean that you guys don't reckon them as classic rock, but rather, it did not come to our mind first when we think of classic rock.

wad about all those eric burdon and the animals, tom petty and the heartbreakers, steppenwolf, beachboys, gerry and the pacemakers, bob dylan, blah blah blah......

actually I don't really listen to them, just remembered I watched the ed sullivan show "the british invasion" dvd.

:)

nice, right on mate..
british bikers? the rockers.. hehe
the list goes on & on, impossible just to list 5
