hi guys, how is toneport?

I am currently using a am64 3200 processor with a exitgy sound card (External), i plug in straight to my soundcard before, no delay, but when i run ampltitude programme, it got some delay which is totally impossible to play properly, will toneport have this problem too?

Is the tone good? that is 2 version available right? got one got some kind of meter which is more expensive, wonder if it is worth the difference anot.

Just a casual guitarist, some decent simple recording will be fine. I dont expect insane tones but at least something nice not like laser gun sounds you heard from star wars which my current amp is giving when i play on higher notes

I think there are more than 2 Toneports, if you include the Guitarport.

If it is strictly the Toneports that you are interested in then you're looking at the UX1 and UX2. The UX2 has level meters for recording and two inputs, including one for micking.

I'm enjoying myself with the UX2. Check out my MySpace site at http://www.myspace.com/rorkrgbspace to hear my guitar stuff that I recorded with the UX2. Whatever tones you hear were created with the basic amp models etc. There are additional packs that you can buy to add on effects.

The best thing for you to do is to go on down to City Music to check out the stuff.

What you're facing is latency issues when there's a delay between what you play and what you hear.

I'm no expert in this but maybe Toneport brudders here can help.

Alternatively, I was intrigued when I was browsing at Luther's.

Check out the Home Recording Package at http://www.luthermusic.com/cgi-bin/WB_OfferPageGen.pl

If only we had stuff like this for $395 in the past.

The latency issue may be due to ur soundcard or a lack of RAM. Check out amplitude's web for sys requirements.

Hey, I've got a question along the lines of the toneport and recording.

Okay, firstly I run a ProCo Rat into a Valbee with an RP80 in the effects loop.
How would I record the "original" sound of the tubes/valbee and my setup?
Like: Guitar-> Rat-> Valbee-> (RP80) -> direct recording.
The Valbee it has a "phones/rec out" btw..

Could I do this with a UX1? Would this setup sound more "natural" than using the effects in Gearbox?
Any other cheaper alternatives that could do the same thing? M-Audio JamLab?
