Tommy Emmanuel @ Esplanade, 21st July 2007!

2 months to go, and a well needed bump before this thread vanishes!

We will definitely try our best to get a masterclass going, but first priority is to sell concert tickets first, so no masterclass will happen if not enough tickets are sold.

How are the sales going so far? Would love to go for the masterclass if there is since I missed the first masterclass.

Well, at the moment a masterclass is not confirmed because of ticket sales. If the show had sold out we would have had one for sure, but we're spending all our time promoting the actual concert now.

i know bumping aint allowed now, but i just got to bump for tommy emmanuel.

watched his show last year and it was a blast!

and its true that tommy's guitar music is for everyone! i wouldn't bring my mum to steve vai though i absolutely adore him but for tommy emmanuel, bring your girlfriends, bring your mum, bring your dad, bring those people who think guitars are for young punks, those those nag at you for creating 'noise' when you are practicing your music, hell, you can even bring your granny along! no joke. tommy's performance just has got this uncanny ability to touch everyone's heart.

i am glad to still get tickets yesterday. grab them before they are gone!

An Aussie mate recommended me his CDs - man I was blown away. Wish I could go if not for the fact I'm giggin that night

If you are capable la.. haha.. from what i know.. the last year when we have finished with the show.. Tommy totally stop his work when he is meant to have fun :D oh well.. anyway i am excited abt the show :D

it is so happening! i enjoyed every moment from when tommy step out until he signed my ukelele and my maestro ed2 :D i'll post pics tml or something.. cant get rid of the image of him playing so near to me!! oh.. nt forgetting the scene where he took paul ponnudorai's custom godin and jams with paul at the harry's!! amazing scene.. tommy is just so versatile.. amazing.. after he pick up paul's guitar, he immediately sounds like him! wow..

Oh yes, the Tommy Emmanuel concert was a blast to watch. I thought he sound was fantastic this time round, and he played a full 2 hours.

Thanks to Nick, I believe you've been doing up the background stuff for Tommy :) and the Esplanade for providing such an awesome venue that makes performers want to go here when they die :wink: and of course, soundmen, other people that have made this happen.
 
I bought my tickets last minute and was seated right in front. I thought my view will be totally blocked by his rack gear but then I was wrong.

Tommy Emmanuel is one helluva musician and seasoned entertainer. I didn't appreciate one certain small section when he DIDN'T play guitar but thats just me and I'm attending HIS concert so he can do what he deems fit.
