maybe i holis after exams then teach, want to charge $60/4 lessons, $15/lesson. :lol:

will have my own materials and stuff and maybe using some books. teaching basic techniques first like powerchords, then PM then picking then finally speed.

first u need to work out ur fundamentals - how to position ur guitar, how to position ur fingers etc.

next grab a song that you wan2 play then start learning the chords. usually song in the C or G key will be easier to learn.

Alternatively, u can pick a key and learn its related chords. eg, key of C chords are C, Dm, Em, F, G, Am, ... etc

some must-learn chords: C, E, Am, Em, F, G...

most of the resources can be found online. u can always google them.

hi all. just bought my guitar two weeks ago. Been trying to find a way on how to start learning play my guitar. Can u guys gimme any tips?

yupp i think u should get lyke some guitar chord bk and some songs that u like.(can get easily on internet) normally if u like the songs it would give u more motivation to learn...start with the simple chords like C,G,Em,D blah blah
ya and then if u want to carry on learning more guitar, u can learn how to read tabs or go for guitar courses yupp!

heh.. pick out a easy easy easy chicken song and learn it. try listenin to the songs and get the strummin pattern.. it sucks at the beginning but you will improve. Heh.. for example my first song was. Vertical Horizon- Best i ever had. eh it's good enuff u can sing it to a girl! hahaaha.

but first of all u got to be familar with the chords. Like those 7 basic chords. keep playing them [although it's goanna get on yr nerves] switching them, increase the speed. jus strum and strum like applying peanut butter, i know it's really noisy.. but hahaha u will get use to it. haha go to those online guitar webby, check out the tips from this coolio forum. oh yeah, make friends with those really pro people here, so u can leech sth from them. hahaha i'm mean. but that's how u learn

never be demoralise by anyone, it's goanna be kinda noisy and irritating when u first start. heh my parents use to complain all the time.
