How much cheaper are those pricing? Anyone knows?

I'm tempted to either get one 12" safari hats or a 13" Byzance fast hats and get Thomas to sign it for me.

I know it all depends on the sound that I am looking. But I'm torn between the two. Any opinions from you guys? Right now, I already have one 15" A New Beats.
 
Jeepers... quite difficult as the filter china is made from a totally different alloy... on Wed you will hear for yourself...
 
no lah it's just an autograph... unless stated in the endorsement deal that thomas lang could not autograph cymbals of other brands than cannot lah...

but usually it's the other way round.. u can't play other cymbal brands... during the drumfest sonor endorsee jojo mayer used a DW hi-hat stand or something... well i dunno man...

bro fuman - on wednesday??? i thought thomas lang is on 13th meaning monday?

i wonder how much cheaper the filter china would be man.. maybe $120 for a pair eh? heh :lol:
 
my fren using his 14" filter china....
nice sound, if youre playing in a jamming room..
but when he brought out and play at esplanade...
its sounds more like a splash.. rather than a china.....
go figure

i'm more interested in his kompressor crash, or synthetik crash....
from his video both his crashes sound great..... wif fast decay ala e-kit cymbal sounds.. but then again, not really sure how it will sound like in outdoor

Hmm that means the filter china is not very cutting. Kinda what I'm looking for actually. I'm looking for something that sounds a little more subtle. Something to ponder over until next Monday.

Think we need to go there and actually try it then can decide.
 
the thing about his cymbals is that, as he said in his dvd, they are made to immitate electronic cymbal sound instead of the normal accoustic sounds..
so you can imagine that the sound has a very fast decay...

indeed in his dvd, he played in a room for the recording and even so, the decay is fast...
which is good if you wanna haf a fast attack and fast decay sound for impacts in the songs, and provided in a room... closed room...
for open space, outdoor, youth park kind of place, i think u haf to consider to not even using it.. unless your condenser mic is super power type ah....

anyway, this is just my opinion ah.....

eh marc i was just trying to be funny la, thought maybe the discount would make it as cheap as the 18" wuhans we ordered.

yeah in a studio they would actually fiddle around someway or another (not too sure) and enhance the sound. and the studio he records at would have bloody terrific acoustics and all.

we tried out the 12" filter china at d_h's place and it was pretty darn awesome. he added his own nuts and bolts lol! very d_h like eh.

oh, are we softies going to meet up then walk into the auditorium like some gang? :twisted:
