the wind

yep i experience it yesterday. i was sleeping suddenly hear a loud bang, things falling down. shocked. i thought my neighbour was fighting like they usually do. haha. all my curtains flew up high. very strong wind. quickly shut the window. megatron farted izit? :p

The wind was really strong here in Upper East CoastRoad too. When I woke up in the morning to go to school, there were leaves and broken branches all over the pavements and some were even blown into the front area of my house.

By the way, solar storms (or geomagnetic storms, rather) are hardly harmful. The last one major one happened in 1989. It interferes with the Earth's natural magnetic fields and disrupts satellites, cable TV, stuff like that. Small ones happen all the time; i'm sure you've seen that annoying message on SCV!

wahlao. didnt feel any wind. what time was it?

i thought the solar storm will destroy all transformers?
no power = no food = everyone die

I didn't experience it. I did experience a thunderstorm, though. I stay in Woodlands. My sister did say she heard it, though. Maybe I was bathing at that time.

yeahhhhhhhh i experienced some gust of strong wind too. the next morning i woke up on my way to sch. have to cross this bridge. the tree beside it broke into 2 and blocked half the path to cross it. didnt expect the wind to be so strong

I stay near CMPB, usually the hindu temple and chinese temple have not many people during weekdays, after that terrible Wind, i saw prayers sessions filled with people..

well its a good thing that the winds only occur during nightime.... if not all small aircraft flying around seletar, paya lebar etc2 will not be able to fly...

any musician pilots out there would know that flying 12 knots crosswind is hellava fun on a piper but 40 knots will just blow the plane apart... 17 knots max xwind fctor.

kinda loving the wind at night, makes me feel safe and all cuddly in my room hearing theres a storm oustide and im in my comfy room playing dota.

wonder if this phenomenon happened in the other SEA countries

i think other SEA countries got their own string of natural disasters, so if something like this happened to them it'll go un-noticed. but for singapore its really rare so its like a big issue now heheh:D
