:S Scary. I never knew singing could be so complicating with theories and stuff. Maybe I'm just used to the usual friends who just keep singing songs all their lives and they just tend to sound better polished over time.. *shrugs* I don't know how all this works, but it's quite an eye-opener strolling through this subforum haha. see ya guys!

Ankh is pure 100% BULLSHIT.Singing is not something that you CAN or CANNOT do,rather,it's something that you WANT or DO NOT WANT to do.With proper training,even someone with the WORST vocals can be taught right,and if needed,through UNLEARNING the WRONG TECHNIQUES that he picked up in the first place.Have you heard of the saying 'All man are equal'?God made ALL OF US with vocal cords,thus,giving us a fair chance in being able to sing.However,each person's resonance is different,so despite having the same instrument,we don't produce the same sound.With proper techniques,one would learn to use his vocal cords properly,supported with his diaphragm,to produce what we know as singing.And for people who have taken up vocal lessons by prestigious,well known teachers and dare tell me that it has failed and that you still sound as whimpy as you did when you first started,I tell you this - You have wasted your time and money.Yes,you have gone through vocal lessons,however,vocal lessons do not end where the schedule states.Vocal lessons truly never end because after a lesson,you need to practice and practice what you have learnt in class.Only through lots of hard work and perseverance would you really LEARN the lesson.So what you have really done,is just invested time and money,and minimal,if not zero,effort in trying to improve yourself.

I think its only convincing enough to hear a technique this well explained. At least their customers feel confident of this technique, and that learning this isn't a waste of time and money.

I personally have had a couple of vocal coaches before I started with SLS. The effectiveness could be felt. You can seriously feel your voice growing in just 3 months, compared to the 9 months I experienced with the other instructors.

Its only fair that the students of the different other techniques know what they are learning and not just blindly follow the crowd.

If one guy goes, " Why do you use the Diafragm? How does it benefit you, or rather, helps you sing? " Would you just say, " I don't know.. " ?

The think about understanding the theory behind a technique is that, it helps you understand your own body and you can actually know how to gain command and control over your larynx and etc. much easier because you know what went wrong, therefore, allowing you to execute a swift and easy fix to your problem.
