more importantly, the American Standard is priced very much lower than the former American Series, see if this applies in our domestic market... (hopefully it would)

Suspect:

*the American Series used more costly specs
*current Am Std has economical features- lessons from the Highway1 series...

my take would be, the SGD price would not exceed $2K (after disct)...

Sweetwater, musiciansfriends and all seem to have raised the price by USD$50 on the new strats though....recession probably?

sure to attract security attention, especially when you have long hair + wearing black t-shirt with heavy metal motifs...

swee lee sale- if you are after the latest Am Std... these won't be there...

a quick look at the Am Std Tele's bridge- i prefer the superseded Am Series version or the Highway1's; this one just doesn't click with me...

OT:

Fenders are cool... ...but they can't "BEAT" my Yamaha Pacifica! ;) Haha

No seriously, why must strat copies made guitar with different bridge specifications. NO replacement bridge has the 6 screw dimensions same as my Pacifica, only 56mm's for Fenders... :(
