the superseded Am Series do not feature a glossed headstock/ any neck parts, neither did the preceding Am Std.

the neck mate. Must have been thinking about the very old strats, pre 2000 i think it is. Still, the 2008 is very good for the price, though after watching the factory tour video, I feel that they manhandle their guitars

the 2-point bridge has its merits on buoyancy/ tuning stability (not that the 6 version is less dependable). this is a preservation of the Am Series Specs which was in turn a preservation of the 1st gen Am Std specs...
