I don't know how many of you would agree with me,

Musicmanship is one thing,

Staying in tune is another.

Some played well, but damn, the tuning and balance gave it away.:p

If you catch my drift.

Yeah I agree with you. Staying in tune is a must and I think that falls under Musicianship criteria also la bro.

i can vouch for that!! my band lost in another competition cos of tuning issues. right from the 1st chord i realised every string instrument was out of tune, but no1 dared to stop :( till now the organizer still of that competition still nagging at us for that. -_-

Interesting to see the votes! Awesome that instrukental has over 70 votes cos that means that prog music has its place in the SG music scene.. sg prog fest anyone?

This is supposed to be "The LOUDEST Band" contest!!! why is it there are new waves and alternatives and pop rocks and show bands, and progressive rock in here?! my goodness! Is there any other meaning for LOUD? Check wikipedia for cryin out loud! Loud should not be lower than Thrash Metal or Metal of some sort! Tsk, tsk, tsk!!! It should be ear-popping, goosebumping, speaker-blastingly LOOOUUUDDD!!! \m/ If I'm the judge, no one will win! \m/

it no doubt takes a narrow-minded someone to consider everything at its literal level. checking up dictionaries to define boundaries is plain primary school. perhaps open up that puny pea brain of yours (if you can afford it), and understand that there are many other ways of being loud. taking everything so literally? i see you would take great pride in considering yourself a "junior"- ignorant and foolish. if you want loud, check out the mirror. it may not surprise you to see the epitome of loud staring straight back at you; "ear-popping" to those who wonder how constricted that brain of yours really is, "goosebumping" to those who believe you seriously lack the ability to be discerning, and "speaker blastingly" hollers of how you could even muster the courage to openly display your intellectual deficit. not to worry, this is exactly why you are not the judge. thank god.

and why do i even bother? because the bands that did their best deserve some justice.

Ya mon!

Loud is subjective. Just like some folks who would label CCR as loud cos they're more into hotel lobby muisc. Sometimes Loud is a genre not just volume.

& Crying out loud..is more often nothing more than just a figure of speech.

Kudos to the bands!!!!
