voted for Grail of Death .... becoz I just saw them live and they ARE LOUD when playing live & they have great stage presence, cool showmanship (which is a plus point visual wise) & a gutsy frontwoman ... who actualy speaks in a very girly voice in person .... :-) . it's true - we met her

hey guys thanks for the comments on Green monster
on behalf of the band we thank soft for the chance to participate
and to all softies comments
may the best band prevail
cheers guys

InstruKental! You guys are awesome. Seriously you guys are a cut above the rest. Where can I hear more of you? Where can you wow me again? If I close my eyes I would assume this is a foreign band.

Hello!
The bassist is super duper. So is the drummer.... watch him and see him fling his "sticks". How did you get that wonderful name? Enlighten us please.

Cyani†e - zia.†S|nclair,Ace,Joriel,Vorian and Jim would like to thank everybody

On behalf of Cyani†e, I'd like to thank all voter/s supporters/ everyone watching our vids. Its our first debut as we just recently formed in the middle of april a few months back and yea we managed to learn a hell lot from the competition itself and we're gonna make a hell lot of changes to ammend any flaws we have so do give us your comments no matter how harsh or straight forward they are so that we are able to improve and play better music. We entered the competition although we knew that we're not that good and more veteran bands are playing for the sake of exposure, experience as well as taking that major first big step because we believe that it provides a good base foundation to reflect on for every one of us help us in the long run so don't hesitate to give us your comments for the performance. cyani†e - zia.†S|nclair

i hope the judges and the voters got the same opinion as me that technicality might be important to win the Outstanding Musician award but not the band competition. i hope that bands are judged based on true musicianship, stage presence and originality. My meaning of musicianship is most importantly the 'tightness' of the band (the bond), sound balance (volume control), pitching of the vocals, emotions and expression that deliver that loud music. The band does not have to be extremely technical to win the comp. If a band is vocal-less, it has one less worry and that means they should be very good in their instrumental piece and cannot afford obvious mistakes or delay in executing your lead or rhythm parts. I hope people out there judge fairly and yeah its not easy.

the problem with having a video judging is that lots of the magic of the performance is lost as the band is unable to convey their "presence" (if any) to the audience.

i happened to be there watching the bands perform and i have to say that the results are kinda astonishing. perhaps we'll (heavy metal tribune) publish our commentary after the results are out, so no bands can say that what we said has affected the audience polling results.

there were bands that were not exactly professional, not exactly loud, not exactly balanced and not exactly as tight as they all seemed on the video. the list goes on...

of course, it's not all a bad thing cos judges and the audience can view these videos at their own leisure and then make a decision whenever they are ready.

Thanks!

We at xLB would just like to thank all those who watched our video and voted for us! It was indeed a memorable experience that evening and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously! Kudos to James and Co. for conceiving such an innovative idea!
