I didn't see much of a discount when I paid Yamaha @ Plaza Sing a recent visit. Ah well... cheaper to buy secondhand or to turn to more bang-for-buck brands.

There are computer shows all year round, photo shows, bridal shows and even consumer or furniture shows. Why can't we have some combined music (equipment) shows where shops sells their stuff, musician plays their stuff on stage, people come, people buy and in the end everybody goes away happy like any of the shows above!

There were some trade shows for music equipment thats only for businesses/distro folks locally. Its not open to general public . Guess those prolly rake in more in a business sense then the general public who just wanna buy music equipment. Especially when comparing music stuff and everyday gear(computer related, furniture etc), its still a much smaller pool of people buying
did my gss shopping at yamaha yesterday, but then, the gear i gotten also not much of a cheaper compared to buying online. Only good thing is local warranty.
Oh, if anyone getting anything from yamaha, go sign up for the yamaha membership card for free on the spot. Can get another 5% discount.
