I never heard so much gain feeding into delay pedals before... That includes Pink Floyd.

It's more raaawwwwkkkkk (the 80's type) to me. I don't hear the ambient bit much as well...

Wilki-ed him up... sounds/looks scary. And his music has no... rules... something I can't agree upon.

I dunno man... I don't think I can ever get to the really ambient stuff, hence the "" in the title, like how Pathein, blueark or the Mrmisse dudes are into it. It ain't something I seem to be able to assimilate into my playing, short of doing the complusory volume swells!

Nope... no pentatonics in this piece... and the few little jams/improvs in that soundclick page didn't have pentatonic usage.

Having a wider boundary is fine, I try to do that... but having absolutely no boundaries like Mr brian eno is... a no go for me, I believe music has to have a certain structure, and hitting tennis balls onto piano keys is... like throwing paint onto canvas - I can't find the artistic-ness in that.

u really should take a peek then into post modernism. it's an old concept, but that will freak you out enough.

if this sort of music/sound doesn't provoke you and make you feel out of your boundaries, then its not worth thinking about, feeling about and living for.

aren't you encouraging yourself to step of your own boundary?
 
Post Modernism ... that's a scary thing indeed - Nothing's truth, everything is relative. Its a dangerous wild beast just waiting to burst out... everything's in every one's opinion, nothing's right. I can't imagine someone TRUELY living in that kind of mindset - its total anarchy.

I want to step out of my boundaries, but I don't see myself without bounds... that would not be music to my ears, I see the need to retain structure and order, I can't blindfold myself, hold my guitar upside-down and turn on 3 delays, wack away, and call that music... I can't...

now that is kinda NO BOUNDARIES to me... need at least 20 finger extensions to do what they do. :twisted:

forget about ambient and post modernism and all that sikit atas my brain is better than your brain bullcrap... they're all wankers and they don't even know what they're doing. just whack and call it music and call it art.

its music to those who can appreciate it. its music to me cos i like what i hear but to over intellectualize(sic!) ambient... or noise or soundart... thats bullcrap.

Having an opinion would come under the umbrella of post modernism wouldn't it. Post Moderism itself defies catergorization by virtue (if you can call it virtue) of its meaning.

If the "ambient" connotation is a mistake, then I shall remove it.
