This sat, for the first time ever I am going to the Cage at Kallang to play Cage soccer... sort of an "industry gathering lovelovelove league round robin series of matches"

I have played on regular pitches and obviously basket ball courts but never at the bage -

any tips, expiriences etc to share?

i think the ecp one is better leh.. kallang damn hot cos its covered up and all and since its covered up ball cannot kick too high cos it'll just hit the roof.

with the stupid weather now it could get really hot in the cage. almost cannot tahan ah last time.

other than that the cage is a nice place to play at.

sorry no tips ah, my soccer cmi one haha

Usually they don't play to the lines, so expect non stop action. Sometimes like street soccer, players utilize the walls as their 1-2 passing. But sometimes the ball can hit the pillars behind the cushion walls and get stuck. Long pass can be effective too, the ball won't bounce off the cushion that much so your teammates can pick it up easily provided they are nearby, good for playing wide. The pitch is smaller compare to other indoor venues, so teamwork is more important than solo runs. Thats from my experience la.

cage not fun one, the wall at the sides arent uniformly even, so there are bumps, i kicked it once and fell lol.

the bigger pitch at ECP is better, im a regular there.

wow- Im so used to playing regular soft pitches .. this wil be interesting for me ...

eh bro, wah play footie sey. not bad, normally i play at ECP one, but that one ah really depend on the day and time la, sometime it will be blistering hot with still air. the one at Kallang is older so expect much more abused pitch as compared to ECP. If you haven't been active for the longest period of time, expect doing 4x10 metres IPPT event for the whole duration la. Bring lots of water!
