THe BEst And The Worst...........

best place: Beat Merchants
- very spacious
- amps in good condition
- plenty of powerstrips
- some of the chicks in charge there are pretty hot!!! :P

worst place: singapore poly jamming studio
- must wear lanyard while jamming
- their pre-jam checks eat into the jamming time, while post-jam checks are so long winded
- one must PAY upon booking (letsa you book today that you wanna jam next week, you have to pay the fees while you're booking)
- not pedalboard friendly (only one powerstrip that is shared by the mixer, power amplifier and the two keyboards)

sleepykitty: hahaha..true..but the studio damn huge la..got bean bags to sleep on..hahaha.. but only 1 guitar amp sia..smarvo half stack.

but its damn spacious tts y i like it..and its IN SP..so well..its convenient.and 10 bucks..i got no complaints.

it's got two smarvo half stacks, plus a puny bass amp  yea the studio is the biggest one that i've ever been too!

ya ya the jurong east one is the SENG CHAI JAMMPING STUDIO. I RATHER BRING MY DRUMSET AND AMPS INTOA PUBLIC HAWKER CENTRE TOILET AND JAM IN THE TOILET than jam there gee

paid 15..jam for 25 mins..she told us to leave.den we ask for refund..she sed no refund.

Yo BudakBone.. Its not me.. I jus happen to know.. My drummer is the one that inform me about the situation there.. I used to jam there since secondary school times coz its near to the sch and my house..

Anyway.. Besides L cube and Beat Merchants.. Is there any other jaming studios that you all can recommend? I want to do a jaming studios tour around singapore..

guys guys
i am seriously considering operating a jamming studio at west area. maybe jurong east central or clementi central. personally i think the location S***C*** at jurong east is rather attractive. but opening a shop next to a competitor? can advice from softies jammers here?

Wee Lee is cheap la..that's why..

I used to frequent Wee Lee(Simei). It doesn't suck terribly..but the cables for the mics are just dumb...really dumb..it's so short and can't extend that long. I'm talking about the $10 rooms..equipment are NEVER maintained...terrible amps..look like they're older than me..

dude...u cud open right next to seng chai..

but if ur studios are ass kickin..seng chai may be hearing the shutter hittin the floor once and for all.

L Cube is the best, big spacious, even the small room is quite big. All the equipment are top notch...

Another spacious studio is Velvet Joint at near Tekka, don noe if they are still around, owner friendly and very spacious.

Tiet is cool for me..though the rooms aren't as spacious as L Cube or Beat Merchants...the amp is power...JSX t3h seckS!!111

Hmm.

Music Ensemble Studios aka Girly Guitar at Paradiz basement. Absolutely great folks (cheers to Pauline and Steven) manning the store, always obliging and willing to help out. My jamming experience there has never been sour due to equipment faults.

My favourite choice is the middle room because my trio can have a "stereo effect" sound due to the placement of the guitar and bass amps.

WAHH Jazzlll

pls pls pls open one in the west area....i liev like 2 mins away from boon lay shopping centre and i tell you that place is kickass.
even tho its a bit old and unhip..its these kinda nostalgic places thats gonnab ring in the ppl!

i dont think u wanna open one is jurong point..unless ur that rich and can afford to make profits after deducting the hugeass rent there :D

haha Jurong Point.. Cool Man.

take over the POSB basement there.. hehe jk jk..

Somewhere near the heartlands would be great man!!

My personal fave would be the biggest room at Boon's.

That room is soooooooollllllliddddddddddd la I tell ya.

Abit pricey tho, but the equipment and amount of space is awesome.

Worst would be Rhythm Masala at Khatib area, glass doors and walls, feel like an animal in an enclosure, and their attitude isn't really that fantastic, esp the chinese uncle.

And the room is ultimate tiny.

I like Four Tones, service good, wires long enough, the smaller room also provides sufficient space.

I got no dislikes as of yet, perhaps Boon, la, the room I was in was so small then.
I think it was the $14 room or something.

BOON HAS COCKROACHES! ESPECIALLY THE SMALLEST ROOM. THE ONE WITH CHECKERED WALLS OR SOMETHING! NEAR THE TOILET! HAHAHA :P
