The long awaited Illegal Bass
The_Bass_3.jpg

Body: Maple
Neck: Full Maple
Pickups: Bill Lawrence J45s
Bridge: Solid brass OEM bridge from RDM
Tuners: Grover

Control plate from a Fender bass. The pickups are wired for a series/parallel swtiching via a push/pull knob at the neck volume. Exactly the same as the Fender S-1 style switching. Love the versatility!

sweet illegal bass! must sound fantastic with all that maple and that chunky brass bridge. and bill lawrence pickups rock! where did u get the body parts from?

Cannabalised it from an old bass i had. Electronics and hardware all gone to pot so replaced and repainted.

The bass is really bright and has really long sustain thanks to the heavy bridge. The series/parallel wiring is a revealation man, all jazz basses should have one!
