okay ... i know this is kinda the wrong place to post this kind of stuff but i'm kind of excited.

I just recently managed to arrange and produce my first full-fledge song. I recorded my bass part and programmed the rest ... so here's the link ...

http://blog.exinated.com/sound/LookingHomeward.mp3

will be nice if you guys could give some comments ... cheers softies!

I just clicked on it and closed this window to surf around while I listened. But I had to come back and say, I like it! 8) What did you use for the other instruments?

theblueark - THANKS! ... i actually used Garageband, Mac's default software to programme the rest of the instruments ... i think the tough part is that i'm not proficient in other instruments, so you can hear like the piano part i anyhow do one ... hahahaha, also the alto sax seriously hard to programme .. cos the dynamics of a sax player is so wide that sometimes i can't seem to catch it .. yeah .. =) ..

i'm trying to learn the keyboard now ... so at least i got some sense of how it goes and stuff ... appreciate it .. =) ..

Nice. :D

I like 00:30 - 00:50 (mm:ss). Both the chord progression and lead basslines in this part are cool. 8)

my CIJ tele bass !

most defintely a 51" reissue P-bass.

i dont think the telebass was reissued.

1) they share similar body and neck designs but the tele bass features the pickup at a different postiion

tele%20bass.jpg

and most tele basses appear to have shielded pickups

thanks! ... i'll work harder! .. i think first piece always a good place to start off ...

..

the original precision basses were re-marketed in 1968 as telecaster basses. they were identical spec-wise.

the "shielding" are actually just pup covers, affectionately known as "ashtrays". the ashtrays were also available in the telecaster basses.

yup, rav's bass is a CIJ 51 re-issue, a nod to da 50s! :D

hi everyone!

yes my bass is the CIJ '51 precision bass reissue...

does not have pickup and bridge cover. but shape wise, looks like a tele bass la...

i didnt know by not putting the whole 51 reissue pbass thing would be an issue. my bad.
