hi. my cousin wants to purchase a starter guitar.
i told him to get STAGG lespaul. but he wants TGM strat. idk what to say to him. help.

TGM and STAGG which is better? worth the price?

IMO, Stagg would be worth buying. What's the budget?. What kind of shape does your cousin wants?

You might want to check this guitar out,

hahaha

i know2. i have one stagg Les paul. forget what model.

my cousin is kinda stubborn man. but, thanks for the details. =)

yeah i would take the stagg anytime because their guitars all have alder wood

as for TGM's, i shall not comment on them

Why not let him have his Strat but get a Stagg Strat instead of a TGM. I think you'll spend less for a Stagg Strat to make it play at an equally optimum quality.

The Staggs are bang for the buck..
But for the Stagg LP, do consider the LTD-50 series as well.. Or is it 30? Not sure.. The one in the same price range (not the -10 series)..

i beg to differ about TGM by other people because in my case, my TGM lespaul is very much of good quality. the workmanship, the settings and the sound. nothing more i can ask for in the $200+ range of guitars.

Personally I'd recommend neither. I've played several pieces by Stagg and they played and sounded terrible to me. As for TGM, no doubt they have a few decent pieces here and there but they're certainly not in the same league as Stagg quality-wise.

Like mus says, the SX GG1K package is pretty well recommended. And it's a package. 10-watt amplifier, cables are included. More worth it in my opinion, and a bit more spent on a distortion pedal since 10-watt practice amplifiers have really crappy distortion.
