Tele Hardcase

As for mods...well, I'm technically still a beginner so I'll reserve that thought once I've improved enough to warrant an upgrade. Was actually thinking of bareknuckle and lollar pickups though.

Wow! Excellent value for money, I'm referring to the Japanese price, I guess you got it at that price or a bit lower.

Get this asap..... cheap and fast mod, you can do on your own, it's so easy to do.....

Your e and b strings will ring with better definition, I bought this for my friend's strat and it sounded better, of course it looks better too, more classic looking. As for my own tele, no need for string tree because I use vintage staggered tuners. Borrowed this idea from Eric Johnson.

For your tele, changing your bridge to a 3 saddles is more important than changing pickups. As for pickups, just choose the most classic pickup set with the lowest output if you want a more chimey tone. Mine's an esquire with just the bridge pickup, minimalist tele.....

Why? I just changed my bridge from a vintage 3 saddle to a Gotoh modern :P If I told you what other un-classic mods I've done to my tele you'd have an aneurysm.

I think you misread me, what im trying to say is that buying off mono's webpage is a lot more expensive thn grabbin it off citymusic

Yes, I know and I agree with you, sorry if I misread you. When I first saw mono case, which was last year, I felt like selling my hard case, haha.

Go ahead, make my day..... go ahead and tell us your un-classic tele mods, I would love to hear them! No aneurysm for me though, haha. I always love to see how others modify their teles, surely I can learn a thing or two.

You can sell him your 3 saddle bridge if he wants it.

Personally, I like how the classic tele bridge looks, as for the tone, it seems to have a nicer ring, can't really explain why. If you have issues with intonation, here's the quick and easy solution: http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/choosing-installing/tech-tips/saddle_up_your

I suggested changing bridge and string tree because the mij tele looks classic and would go well with a classic bridge. Guess, I like teles in classic style. We can say all we want, it's his tele, it's his choice.

Bro, have you tried the round callaham string tree?

Keep it..... just in case you ever wanna sell your strat when the price goes up many years later.....

Still a good guitar though..... people will pay for relic mojocaster, just look at fender custom shop, you pay much more for a beat up guitar, haha. If you bought it used, maybe you can sell for a profit years later, if you bought it new, it's much harder to profit so might as well keep it.

About 10 years back, my used 52ri tele cost $1,200. Few months ago, I saw a similar model, similar year, selling for over $3,000 at a particular guitar shop. I researched and found that it's worth about $2,000 now, over $3,000 is a little too high.

If im not wrong the vintage ri tele cost arnd 2.6k but wow guess its worth keeping tun but i really feel like abusing my axe haha

I sold my 52ri tele years ago and was happy that I broke even, in those days, I can't afford to keep it, with the money, I assembled a strat. Wonder why you like abusing your axe, haha, I'll be glad whenever I have spare time to play.

Haha, nitro finish is irreversible, can't be removed, at most you can wear it off. The esquire I'm about to assemble has gun stock oil finish on both body and neck.
