Recently, I put up an ad to sell my strat/tele hard case and some how end up making friends with a few other tele fans. I then realized that there are more tele fans in sg than I thought.

If you're a tele fan..... share with all of us, why you love teles..... feel free to share some of the modifications you did or modifications you're about to do.....

I'll start.....

Why I love teles:
* minimalist & simple design
* multiple ways to modify
* comfortable to play
* classic tone
* twang

Modifications I did:
* threaded neck inserts
* staggered tuners
* half bridge
* esquire

I use this tuning method:

Your turn.....

Do i qualify if i want a semi hollow tele body.. with a rosewood strat neck loaded with tv jones? =(

Of course you qualify! Who's to say you don't!

TV jones? As in filtertron? La cabronita style?

Can you post a picture? I'm so curious to see how it looks.....

La cabronita! Sounds like you assembled it yourself, what parts did you use?

My esquire which I'm assembling halfway has usacg rosewood/maple neck, rutters half/chopped bridge with 3 steel saddles, callaham neck plate, vintage staggered tuners, etc.

no la hah.. i mean that's my dream tele.. havent gotten around to actually thinking of where to get parts from or even thinking about spending the money to assemble it. just a dream =)

What pickups are u thinking of loading onto ur esquire?

have mim standard and mij 62 reissue,

like- easy to play with and nice neck profile which i like

mod- 5way switch mod on both tele, saddle changed, defretted mij 62 reissue into lined fretless geetar(dont care bout the twang, i cant play geetar for nuts)

Mine's a gfs, the classic model with lowest output. All my parts are in, except the neck is still on the way. Haven't had time to tru-oil the pine body yet.

I know where you can get your parts for your tele, I can even give you an estimated cost, haha, it should cost just below sg2k, including shipping and getting a pro to cut a custom bone nut. PM me if you want the sources where I order from.

Let me guess..... callaham or glendale saddles?

Defretted? Very unique! Wonder how you play it..... Malcolm did the work for you?

hehe, the saddles changed was done years back, cant remember which one is which liao. Also didnt play geetar for a long while.

Indeed it was, Malcolm did the mod back then

I saw that mod on his website and I remember it because it's very unusual in a cool way.

I stopped playing for about 5 years, only last year, I started to play again.

borrowed this from TGP lol

I love my Telecaster Deluxe,which is something that actually be compared to Les Paul. Because of its big fret board that makes my finger feel comfortable. It has a nice clean and dirty sound.Coming end of this year I'm gonna customised my own telecaster with warmorth body parts.,anybody up for it?

this thread reminds me of the old man in pokemon red/blue/green/yellow in vermillion city talking about a rapidash who gives you a rare candy talking about how much he likes rapidashes.
