Tattoo in NS?

i ord april 09!
anyway, one word of advice, if you wana get tatoo, make sure you really want one becuase it's going to stay with you for the rest of your life. it's not like smoking, where you can at least kick that habit.
imo, i wouldn't encourage you to get one la, but in the end it's up to you

which unit you guys in anyway.

Hey guys, if u are not allowed to enter NS if u hav tattoo, then all of the boys in Singapore will hav tattoos in their body so tat they can skip NS...

Actually, its best not to.Cos during your FFI,your body will be checked to see if you had any additions to your body before and after NS so it could mean lotsa trouble.Trust me on this,im a medical centre medic.lol

Hello i dunno abt army side cause i was posted directly to Spf for my Ns... But we (the guys) had to strip down to our briefs behind some certains on enlistment day ><

To check for tattoos i suppose...

they will note down where and what tattoos you have and do the same check again after you ORD. standard procedure what. not worth it to take the risk,

there will always be the usual stereotypes. well my mom thinks i'm the cheekiest in the family coz i pierce and tattoo. depends on ones view
btw i dont look gangsta-rish right?!?!

no problem one lah, i went through NS without any hitch.. even my OC had tattoos!
just be careful of the fresh tattoo bleeding through your no.3, it might stain your uniform..

wow all this talk about tattoos makes me feel like i gotta have one. Lol. But religion doesnt allow me to. To me tattoo is a way to express yourself or tell a story of your life thru ink on body.

and brandon boyd has alot of nice tattoos. i think he had one done just before he came singapore. It was one his forearm

I'm sure there are other tattoo artist just as good if not better than Kat that charges at a cheaper price. Kat Von'D can tattoo, no doubt about that, just that she's over rated and its some sort of 'branding' so you pay for the name rather than the quality.

Also, if I'm not wrong Jesus had a tattoo on his right leg 'King of all kings'. Perhaps I'm mistaken. Anyways, I believe that one can follow a religion but at the same time one should also find the truth for himself, to ask questions as opposed to being passive and just accepting every rule that was laid out by the authority. Cause if that didnt happen I suppose we'll prolly still be hunting witches.

And lastly, tattoos can be a rite of passage in a sense that when one decides to get a tattoo, that individual can show how responsible he is by choosing a particular design that he will be satisfied for the rest of his/her life. In history, there are particular cultures where getting a tatoo is a natural and a huge part of life. Infact I think people with tattoos who carry themselves with such grace/elegance is slightly more respectable over an average person in a suit.
