Tattoo in NS?

Hi, i really have no idea where to get enquires, so i just decided to post it here...
I hope you guys can help me out..

I'm serving my NS now, and im thinking of getting my first tattoo...
Im a clerk, so i wear a number 3 uniform...
Im getting the tat on my upper shoulder, a small piece, so it can't be seen when i wear my uniform...

is there anything i need to do once i get it? or, am i allowed to get one in the first place?

Im hindu, so i thought of getting the religious "om"

tattoos will raise eyebrows, and if they look like they're gang-related, you'll probably just be spoken to and questioned by your superiors, but that's about it.

but at the end of the day, how you are treated is dependant on how you carry yourself. If you're covered in tattooes head to toe but you're a respectful and respectable guy with a good attitude, you'll be fine.

i'm intending to get a couple of tattooes myself on my 18th birthday.

that will only happen to stereotype singaporean.in the US tattoo is viewed as a form of art .

tattoo is indeed an art form.

unfortunately, i've got nothing meaningful to tattoo about just yet so i'm yet to have one. soon though, pretty darn soon too i hope.
