Sweet, Clean pups

For the emg users, you might wanna try using 2 9v instead of 1. It opens up more headroom. Sounds better imo.

No double power. It stays the same. The only extra costs incurred would be the cost of the additional batt. Plus, most guitars have a back control cavity big enough to fit in 2 batts so there isn't really a need for any routing.

I'm using alnico ll pro on both neck and bridge with coil split on my epiphone les paul.... It's really mellow and sweet on clean. Actually you can go the those pickup manufacturers' website. Most of them do have sound samples for their pickups. But bear in mind, there are lotsa factors which colored the sound. For example the guitars, amps and the way they recorded the samples. And also ya be listening thru your pc's speakers. So their will be some differences from from what ya heard from the samples and when ya actually using that pickup. :D

you know it would really help if you'd told the softies what kinda guitar you using, what amp, wood, neck etc etc, they can guide you to somewhere...

haha, yes, sorry... i hadn't thought of that yet.

anyway, i have two guitars right now.

1.) Squier Jagmaster
-stock everything.

2.) ESP LTD Viper-50
-Stock everything.

I was intending the change of pickup for my LTD, cause the stock bridge sounds good enough for my distortion stuff. But i thought that the neck pickup was quite satisfactory for my clean stuff, only i wanted just that little bit more mellow of a tone.
I might also change the pups on my jagmaster soon as my jagmaster is tonnes old and the pickups are not very good and already rusty... haha.. oh well..

i will not be able to tell you whats good or not due to my newcoming in the music world, maybe subversion can give you lots of good reviews...
