Sweep picking...

For sweep picking u gonna pratice sweep picking it self over and over again. do it in slow motion first. by the way you dun need sweep picking to be a good guitarist.

Sweeping consists of a few delicate steps that have to be broken up and combined.

you start with a chord,

Let's say the A7 inversion on the 5th fret.

1. Play it like a chord
2. Play it like a chord, but break up individual strings so it becomes an arpegio. Let it sustain.
3. When you break up the individual strings, as soon as you hit the next string, release the finger on the previous string. no sustain.
4. Add in a hammer.
5. Add in a pull off.
6. Practise.
7. Youtube if i typed crap.

lol. not quite true. all good guitarist will know all sorts of skill, be it sweep picking or other stuffs. just making sure it sounds nice. go slow dude. make sure you have 100% control of your fingers. then slowly move up the bpm. im learning sweep picking too. all the best!

sorry bro, im mentally slow, i dont quite get it. but knowing how to sweep pick but not doing it still makes you a good musician? somewhere along that line? if that is so then hell yes. more skills the better.
