swee lee's pricing policy.....

i am a noob getting my second guitar. intrested in getting mid range ibanez. like Rg 350's and SA's .
last week,i walked in to swee lee sims and was shocked to find out the SA260fm was listed for 1k(-discount still around 800-900). way out of my budget. previosly i look around thier shopping website and the SA260fm list for 600 bucks only. knowing it is within my budget, my last week's trip to swee lee was to immdiatly purchase it. i ask the sales guy y the diffrence in price fr thier webpage. he claims that the + shipping cost while u order online, the price will be ab the same as buying fr the store.(he was not able to give me excat details of price/terms of shipping, all he muttered was ab the same or it will cost more...)
yesterday i 'pretend to buy' fr thier site, the invoice does not state any shipping cost or anything, just +30 bucks GST. GRAND TOTAL: SGD630!!!
no fine prints or wadsoever below.........

I checked out the bad monkey on their website which said:
U.P: SGD132.60
NOW! SGD 106.08

Then I went down. The sticker price was $255. I asked to try it out and how much it would cost after discount. The guy told me $233 I think.

I told him it costs US$35 when you buy in the states.
He says add the shipping cost should be around the same.

That works out to more than $150 for shipping.
They must ship their effects over here one by one in a gold plated airplane with a bodyguard on it.

I was so completely amazed at the level of ignorance and arrogance that I walked out.

I don't know if that's the way you do business or it was just a not very good sales guy + website/instore coordination problems, but Swee Lee you really need to do something about this.

the sales people dont know much about anything at sweelee,each guy will tell you something else...and if there is a conflict they blame it on shipping and tax and polishing cost and feeding cost and cost to feed starving children and cost to teach a parrot to loot you.... :roll:

I can say i like the old sweelee website better. But at least there was less confusion.

I'll say... They should really just concentrate on running their conventional business PROPERLY before they even dream about doing it online.

According to my findings, there hadn't been any price indicated on the SA260FM that you had seen in our Sims Drive Showroom yet as they are off our recent arrival.

If it was a verbal quote from one of our sales staff from that particular branch, please feel free to PM me so that I can look into your case. The prices stated on Swee Lee's Official Website is accurate and they would show you the 'Usual Retail Price" and also the Special Discounted Price.

support bras brasah than sim drive...i hate sim drive man...i call three times in my life time ( which i was force to because bras brasah do not have stock and ONLY sim drive will have ) and the people there are soooo.........dunnoe wad to sae man...i juz ask for a repeat of telephone number and the guy on the phone is like "HAIZ..6846......(shouting tone)" i just sae "ok" and even before i say bye bye i heard " dooooooooo " and is stright after i sae "ok"....cal them three times kanna 'kup' three times....service on phone oso a big big problem man....
