any idea like how many guitars of the same model will be for sale? i heard like during e sale only like got 1 or 2 guitars same model one. by the time u go in sold redi.
there are some things worth buying during the sale. but definitely not worth even if you need to queue for 1/2 hour let alone camping...
after their so-called 50% it's actually just a bit off from their normal day. if you did look hard enough, there are places selling a lot of their stuff equivalent to their 50% sale's price tag.
another point to note which i did witness in one of their 50% sale. LP standard after discount was about 2800, but it's not new condition. at best showroom with dings and scratches. won't even consider mint. but you can get the same condition or better guitar for perhaps $2400 in the 2nd hand market - keep a look out in luther classifieds.
You aren't wrong in your opinion. The 50% sale is in fact the best way people with tight budgets can obtain their gear. However, I suggest its far less emotionally traumatic if you were to simply search for alternative stores.
hmz.. guess my tactics for pissing u guys off and away from e sales isnt working! haha.. i see u guys while camping den.. lol..
but seriously.. wad i've said is really true.. and well at least there are some fun parts coz when u r camping, you'll know alot alot of friendly local musicians and being able to see them turning nasty when dawn breaks..
i dont think swee lee sales stuffs meant to act blur or deny theres a sales coming. Imagine yourself as being the boss, would you tell all ur stuffs about a oncoming sales? i dont think so right, only those few at the top will know about all these things and of course they might be told not to leak it out. just keep ur finger cross
agree with grey. just save up and buy. better than wasting whole day queing up and you might not get what you want. time is money, i believe the amount of time spend on queing up can be use to do more constructive things
yeah coz after experiencing e last sales.. i realised everything i've done is crazy.. total waste of time n effort to get something i tot must be very cheap yet valuable...
haha yeah..i also feel that it really is a waste of time, i rather save up more..go there test and buy the thing rather then spending 1 whole day waiting down there.total waste of time!
but the very 1st 50% is really good..i went down on the actual day at around 8+am..and i was quite at the front already the most enjoyable sales..
IMO, not worth camping overnight for that extra 10% discount (I agree with Gr3y's previous post). Got better things to do lah.
An advice though - If the stuff you want is already sold out, DON'T be tempted to buy things you don't really need just because you have queued there for hours. Chances you will end up with buyers' remorse later on, and start contributing to Luther's classifieds! Walk away if you have to (might be difficult for some). It's best to save up THAT money to buy the stuff you actually want on another day or at another store.
