Sweaty Palm , Rusty Strings <READ HERE PLS>

Hi fellow softies, thank you for reading this thread. Actually after making a thread on 'WHICH GUITAR STRING LAST LONG', I am still not satisfied ever since i tried buying the string brand that what you've advise me...

SO those of you who had the same experience as me (Rusty String even after wiping everytime ) pls do make replies if you can managed PLS??

I dont know if its only me is the one having this problem..HELP ME PLS!!

Those who dont get rusty strings pls do help me too THANKZ ..and wishing u all a happy chinese new year.....

and i heard davis guitar has sumthing dat u can wipe the string guitar of urs..

put u're guitar into cases after play can really reduce the amount of rust .

hmm actually i had a friend who put his electric guitar outside,on the guitar stand without having rust..damn jealous.....and btw after playing i wipe using spectacle cloth and just put inside the gig bag..suddenly after 1 day thought of playing then become rusty spots oredi..

maybe because of the room temperature?
strings do rust.just a matter of how long it will take to rust.
mine usually take abt 4 weeks or so.(even though im now still experiencing of which strings that suits me)
i will put the guitar in case after every play.

i usually use fast frets before i play, makes the strings not so rusty. and i believe that some of the rust can be wiped off using the cloth. elixir string works wonders. could last quite long. but it is quite costly =(

dont store your guitar in its case. It will sweat out causing problems, especially in humid Singapore weather.

well u can try this...after playing..wipe strings clean..then apply WD40 onto strings wif a sponge...it helps alot to preserve strings for me... hope this helps..

if you merely wipe it down after play, chances are, they still rust faster because there are traces of biological fluid there (which is corrosive). you should then consider getting a set of string cleaning fluid, i'm using this (available @ yamaha):

1. wipe down strings after play
2. wipe again with above fluid
3. leave out to dry before you place guitar in bag/ case

for a definite no-rust moment, buy coated strings:
