Super Strong Velcro for Pedalboard

Dear Softies,

Anyone of you know where can I get great firm holding extra strong sticky tape Velcro for the pedals on my pedalboard?

Some just don't withstand the weight of my pedals and drop off with the force of gravity overtime. I need something more permanent that when I pull the pedals or effects out, only then they come out.

@ Art's Friend from Bras Basah you meant? I Googled and found Godlyke power grips... but pretty expensive buddy. So if Oyama works, I will forget about Godlyke. :)

Bro,

Try scouting or check those velcro at HOMEFIX. Ask for industrial strength usage and it should fit for u.

Enjoy...

Cool, I got a TREX Tone Attach Velcro sticky bag at $14 for 2.2m and that's sufficient and strong enough for even my heavier Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face pedal :-)

Appreciate all the views and thanks bros! Awesome place for ideas.

Hi guys, I just tried the 3M dual lock Velcro, super sticky, had a hard time pulling the pedals off. $20 for 1m both sides.

Great Thread. Cheers for 3M. I really like to try that. What Davis sells doesn't work very well.

Fow Now I always keep my pedalboard and pedals horizontally flat, so they don't have to defy gravity and still maintain where they need to be. Only for the time being...

Go 3M brotha!!

If you don't want to spend on 3M or industrial grade Velcro (arts friend one mentioned didnt last for long), the Pedaltrain one is as good as it gets.

Btw how is gravity affecting your pedals? Shouldn't your board be on the floor? Like. Flat? Or are you wall mounting it and kicking your pedals to turn it on lol

He shld b referring the instances when the board is being carried in a pedal case, leaving the board in a vertical position.. Unless u are carrying it in a horizontal way.. lol

Yeah, for those who do gigs a lot , and need to carry their rig often, not advisable for those who tend to change pedals often, price is also of a concern, you might have to spend more than $100 depending on the size of your board.

That's mostly due to the case pushing against the pedals in combination with gravity. Although gravity wouldn't really be a factor (you can try lifting your pedalboard and see if any pedals drop; do this above your bed though - this will show specific pedals with either bad Velcro or if the Velcro is the same it could be the pedal's backplate, or if all are affected its the board side of Velcro which is bad).

But just try to get the Pedaltrain ones if possible as they're pretty much one of the best ones around.

I personally feel the pedaltrain velcro is not so good.
I'm using the soft side on my pt2 while using the 3M rough side on my pedals.
They stick really well, and we really need them to stick very well for those who carry their boards around everyday like moi
