wotan is a warrior god like odin. So together with rotan, which is damn singaporean, it all rhymes while being inherently local, plus the rotan is like a symbolic dichotomy for discipline and violence, chaos and good, while carrying different levels of significance and fear based on the relative age of the person, i.e. young kena rotan, ok can live, old kena rotan it's a large unforgettable scar.
