Hey people...

Care to share with me a little on how you peeps practice and do like self-improvement stuff on your chops and knowledge of guitar/music? I've been playing for a few years but still stuck at those few minor/major scales in terms of solo'ing. I wanna improve for chord work also; this especially.

For a few years now, I'm still forever a Newbie :( Suits my tag, boo.

Any tips? Thanks!

Regards,
Newbie

Well.. just keep at it. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, sometimes it's good to take a break.

There are tips on here & online. just put in some time in searching. You're never stuck.

As for 'solos', explore, experiment, it's good that you know tha basics so just let it flow, bum notes & there can work at times.

Have no fear & Fear can't have you.

play with a band. especially in a band where the other band members are at a higher level than you. play live. these will help u improve

hi the best advice that i can think off is to play all the major and minor scales or any other scales that you r familiar off and try to say out the notes that you are playing at the same play around 60 bpm in triplet and find as many different fingering as you can for that particular scale and also practice your sight reading this is one thing that is really lacking for most rock guitarist.
being able to read notes and knowing the notes on the fretboard will drastically improve your playing:)
